The Hoosiers have a three-way battle for the field goal kicking position taking place between Chris Freeman, Nicolas Radicic and Alejandro Quintaro this season. One of those three will have to replace Charles Campbell, who transferred to Tennessee in the offseason. After a shaky spring scrimmage, special teams coordinator Kasey Teegardin is more confident in his group at the moment.

Last Saturday Indiana singee kicker Nico Radicic took part in the prestigious All-American Bowl that was broadcast on NBC. While his West team lost 55-17, Radicic played well and had an excellent week of practices leading up to the game

The early signing period for college football is now open and prospects and transfers are inking letters of intent all over the country. Hoosier Huddle will have profiles on all the football signees as well as an update from head coach Tom Allen.

It is Transfer Portal Season and there will be names pouring in and out since the regular season has ended. Indiana kicker Charles Campbell announced he entered his name into the portal on Monday. Campbell will have one year of eligibility left.

On Thursday afternoon the Hoosier landed the number three kicker in the nation for their 2023 recruiting class in Nicolas Radicic. IU was never the plan for Radicic who had three other official visits that were lined up, none of them were to Bloomington. However, IU special teams coordinator Kasey Teegardin knew what he wanted and pursued Redicic until he got what he wanted, a commitment.

The future of the Hoosiers kicking game looks to be in good hands, er feet, as IU landed Nicolas Radicic, a five-star kicker according to Kohl’s Kicking. With Charles Campbell entering his redshirt senior season (with an option for 2023), the Hoosiers were on the look out for his replacement. Radicic is rated as the number three kicker in the nation. He is from Coppell, Texas and kicks for Coppell high school.
