The Indiana Hoosiers have 14 former players in the NFL who have reported to training camp and are projected to earn roster sports in 2020. The NFL offseason was far from normal, but the regular season is set to open Thursday, September 10th with a full slate of games the following Sunday. Robert McCray saw his dreams come true the day after the draft as he landed a spot with the Kansas City Chiefs. McCray will join Richard Lagow in Kansas City in attempt to forge a career in the NFL. McCray took an official visit to Bloomington and immediately fell in love with Indiana University. He committed to the Hoosiers and signed his National Letter of Intent just five days after visiting campus.

Robert McCray was an unheralded two-star recruit from Rockdale County High School in Georgia. McCray took an official visit to Bloomington and immediately fell in love with Indiana University. He committed to the Hoosiers and signed his National Letter of Intent just five days after visiting campus. McCray played linebacker and on the defensive line in high school. He earned All-Area and All-Region honors as a senior. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound lineman would far exceed expectations by the time he finished his Indiana career.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana senior linebacker Tegray Scales and fifth-year senior kicker Griffin Oakes earned first team All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced today. Fifth-year senior cornerback Rashard Fant collected second team accolades.

The second part of our double-header on this Throwback Thursday looks back at Indiana’s sloppy 33-27 win over Rutgers. Indiana had four turnovers, botched several field goals and extra points and probably should have won this game by 20 or more points. While the overall quality of play was disappointing the Hoosiers netted their fifth win of 2016 and climbed over the .500-mark in November.
