The Indiana Hoosiers have 14 former players in the NFL who have reported to training camp and are projected to earn roster sports in 2020. The NFL offseason was far from normal, but the regular season is set to open Thursday, September 10th with a full slate of games the following Sunday. Here’s an update on where those former Hoosiers are right now.

Three former Hoosiers signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents this weekend, continuing to bolster IU’s presence in the pros. Jonathon Crawford signed with the Tennessee Titans, Dan Godsil signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Brandon Knight signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

Dan Godsil came to Indiana University from Ottawa, Ohio as a member of the 2015 recruiting class. Godsil saw action right when he stepped on campus. As a freshman, he played in all 13 games as long snapper, making seven tackles in the process. During fall camp his sophomore season, Godsil earned himself a scholarship. He again appeared in all 13 games. As a junior, Godsil played in every game as a long and short snapper. He helped Griffin Oakes hit 16-of-17 field goals during the 2017 season en route to a Big Ten Bakken-Andersen Kicker of the Year Award. Godsil was an Academic All-Big Ten selection his junior and senior seasons.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana safety Jonathan Crawford, long snapper Dan Godsil and offensive tackle Brandon Knight will participate in the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium from Tuesday-Monday, Feb. 26-March 4. This is third time in four years (2018 – program record 5, 2016 – 4) at least three Hoosiers have received invitations to the NFL's showcase event.
