Friday night another future Hoosier, four-star wide receiver Jaquez Smith, kicked off his high school football season and led his team to victory. Five of the eight Indiana football 2021 commits who suited up this weekend helped their team to win. Here is how the future Hoosiers performed in week five of high school football’s return.
3-star recruit from Cedar Hill, Texas. 6’1”, 182 lbs Wide Receiver. National Player Rank: 802nd. Position Rank: 116th. State Rank: 112th.
Totaled 231 yards on 9 catches and 2 touchdowns in Trinity Christian’s 44-40 away non-conference loss to Bryant. Williams also played at free safety, and had a solo tackle and an interception for a 40-yard return. Watch highlights here.
3-star recruit from Brownsburg, Indiana. 6’6”, 285 lb Offensive Tackle. National Player Rank: 603rd. Position Rank: 48th. State Rank: 10th.

4-star recruit from Indianapolis, Indiana. 6’5”, 195 lb Quarterback. National Player Rank: 320th. Position Rank: 12th. State Rank: 3rd.
McCulley led Lawrence North offense to score four touchdowns that was not enough against Carmel who defeated LN at home 36-34.
3-star recruit from Fort Wayne, Indiana. 6’4”, 300 lb Offensive Guard. National Player Rank: 1100th. Position Rank: 53rd. State Rank: 18th.
Helped Bishop Dwenger’s offense to a 31-21 away conference victory over Carroll on Friday night.
3-star recruit from Bloomington, Indiana. 6’5”, 230 lb Tight End. National Player Rank: 736th. Position Rank: 36th. State Rank: 13th.
Had 5 catches for 72 yards in Bloomington North’s 24-21 away victory over Terre Haute North Vigo. See Steinfeldt’s highlights here.
Steinfeldt on bouncing back this week and his best game this season: “It feels good getting more touches this game— but the only stat I truly care about it the W. Even though we played a sloppy game as a team we still found a way to win. And that shows how tough and determined we are as a team.”

Jones led Valparaiso to 30-21 victory over rival Chesterton Friday night.
4-star recruit from Atlanta, Georgia. 6’1”, 190 lb Wide Receiver. National Player Rank: 173rd. Position Rank: 31st. State Rank: 17th.
Helped Westlake to 27-7 victory over Creekside in their home opener Friday night.

Michigan reinstated high school football on Thursday, allowing first games to be played 9/17. Avonsdale’s first game is 10/2 at Athens.
