BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Eighteen Indiana football student-athletes earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. IU has set a program mark with 111 award winners in head coach Kevin Wilson’s five seasons.

Why They Played: The Hoosiers and Scarlet Knights will now play every year as part of the Big Ten East Division
What The Game Meant:
This was the most important game of the Kevin Wilson Era. This was a very winnable game for the Hoosiers before heading into a daunting three game stretch. Indiana needed this game to keep fans interested. After their performance yesterday, IU has lost the eyes and dollars of much of Hoosier Nation.

Why They Played: Indiana and Ohio State opened up Big Ten play as East Division Foes at Memorial Stadium
What The Game Meant:
Anytime that the number one team in the country comes to town it is a big game. Add in the fact that IU was 4-0, made the match-up that much juicier. A win would have sent Bloomington into a frenzy, but the Hoosiers showed what they are made of. IU will make some noise in the Big Ten in 2015.

Why They Played: For the first time in their histories Indiana and Wake Forest met on the gridiron, in the first game of a home-and-home series.

For the first time since Kevin Wilson has been in Bloomington the Hoosiers have swept their non-conference slate. The Hoosiers start 4-0 for the first time since 1990.

Why They Played: Indiana paid $1 million dollars to get this game switched to FIU from USF in order to bolster the number of home games IU was playing. Wilson did not want to play just six home games again.
Indiana had to play improved football on defense to win the game and start a season 2-0 for the first time since 2012. A loss here would probably doom the season after last week’s performance against Southern Illinois.
