18 IU FOOTBALL PLAYERS EARN ACADEMIC ALL-BIG TEN HONORS

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Eighteen Indiana football student-athletes earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. IU has set a program mark with 111 award winners in head coach Kevin Wilson’s five seasons.

Twenty-four Hoosiers collected recognition in 2011, 22 in 2012, a school-record 26 in 2013 and 21 in 2014.

Additionally, Wilson has mentored two of the Indiana’s nine Academic All-Americans - Adam Replogle (2012) and Mark Murphy (2013, 2014).

Student-athletes must be in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a grade point average of 3.0 or better to be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection.
