For the 100 days leading up to kickoff, we at Hoosier Huddle will feature every player from the 2023 roster in anticipation of Indiana’s first game of the season against Ohio State in Bloomington. Today, we will highlight defensive back James Monds III and quarterback Tayven Jackson.

The Indiana Hoosiers will open their spring football practice on March 4th and hold 15 practices before the spring season concludes with their Spring Football Event on April 15th in Memorial Stadium.

The Hoosier Huddle position preview continues with the defensive backs room. The defensive backs are one of the most experienced rooms for Tom Allen’s Hoosiers. With Tiawan Mullen, Noah Pierre, Jaylin Williams and others returning to the Hoosiers, the safety net of the defense will look to be one of the strongest position groups for the Hoosiers. Mullen was hurt for most of last season following a great 2020 campaign. The DBs will look to recreate the turnover success this season as the Hoosiers bounce back from a 2021 season that was not what the Hoosiers were expecting.

Hoosier Huddle’s Official Countdown to 2021 IU Football Kickoff continues to move along. There are exactly 61 days until the Hoosiers go head to head with the Hawkeyes in Iowa City to kick off the 2021 season.
