Noah Pierre Stepping Up As a Leader in Secondary

Written by: TJ Inman (@TJHoosierHuddle)

The Indiana Hoosiers were expected to have a very strong secondary in 2022. IU returned a number of seniors at safety, corner and Husky and most dubbed the group to be the Hoosiers best position group on the team. The “Husky” position is not unique to Indiana’s football program but it is a type of player that not every defense plays. Among the promise of Indiana University football’s defense this year, lies a very important group of hybrid DBs. The Husky position is a hybrid safety and linebacker. Perhaps a bigger, harder hitting safety, or a quicker more agile linebacker. Both apply, and Indiana has some serious talent at the position.
