Small correction to the other thread: When my wife told me about this earlier, she had said that the $5,000 would only go to those who actually voted for the Republicans, not "every American". So my statement was wrong over there.
It is still buying votes and illegal as stated, but at least it doesn't fall into the pure quid pro quo that I implied.

@unclemark we've been talking about another trip up north for a while. I've been to most of the provinces, Nova Scotia probably my favorite. Alberta right up there (Banff). Quebec City is very cool.

The fact that you say you are at war with the left shows what is wrong with politics today. The upside was more muted in 24/25 cycle, but so has been the downturn as well. If 58k (50% drop compared to 75-80% prior cycles) is the cycle bottom then it's just maturing as an asset. It probably won't make it 500k then, but it will become more attractive to investors. Most people can't stomach and don't like 80% drawdowns. With all that said, if the BBL Socialist AOC wins in November of 28, Bitcoin is going to start looking real sexy.
