@unclemark more or less. It was basically fraudulent misrepresentations on when they would croak so the life insurance policies were sold/assigned on the cheap with the expectation they’d pay out in five years and these people never died.
I worked at a world class firm. Top lawyers in the United States. The partner I reported to lived directly next door to the owner of man united the buccaneers etc. when I say I did viatical litigation I monitored a website. They didn’t let me do anything important. Tho I did get to go to lunch with Tommy Lee jones. Ride tim gannons polo horse. Inspect his wrecked yacht. Meet the renegade at the race track. On and on

It’s an interesting debate. It sounds categorically wrong. The way Trump is presenting it. So what is wrong about it? If he presented it as a stimulus for the economy, then it would harken back to earlier stimulus packages.
