In many ways, Saturday’s win over Washington felt like a celebration. ESPN’s College GameDay was in Bloomington and fans and former players celebrated Lee Corso and the 1979 Holiday Bowl squad. People flooded campus and Memorial Stadium to celebrate the outstanding 7-0 start for the Indiana Hoosiers and revel in the attention brought to the program by Curt Cignetti, his staff and his players. Longtime and long-suffering fans celebrated weeks of football that have brought so much joy after many, many years of crushing disappointment.

The Hoosiers hosted FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff pregame show last Saturday prior to Indiana’s 49-point win over Nebraska. This weekend ESPN’s College GameDay is coming to their city for the Hoosiers game against the Washington Huskies.
