The Indiana Hoosier football team reported to fall camp in Bloomington on Sunday evening. This marks the official star of the 2022 football season. After going 2-10 (0-9) in 2021, IU is looking to rebound and prove that last year was just a blip on the radar. While the buzz surrounding the Hoosiers is subdued this year, there are plenty of story lines to keep an eye on over the next couple of weeks. The Hoosier Huddle Countdown is chugging along as we near the two month mark. Around this time last year, an IU football season was very uncertain, but we have no doubt since IU announced their plan to allow full capacity at Memorial Stadium. It’s been a long 173 days since we last watched IU football at the Outback Bowl, and 72 more days remain until kickoff at Iowa. Hoosiers Add Carter Smith to 2022 Class

The Indiana Hoosiers are beginning to build an extremely impressive 2022 recruiting class. Following his official visit, offensive lineman Carter Smith became the seventh commit in the class. The 6’6” offensive tackle prospect from Ohio is a high three-star recruit and considered the 12th best player in the talent-rich state. He is the first offensive lineman in the class and starred at Olentangy Liberty High School in Powell, Ohio and chose the Hoosiers over fellow finalists Northwestern, Tennessee and Virginia. Smith had more than 30 scholarship offers to choose from.
