After a disappointing loss to the Buckeyes, the Hoosiers are ready to get back on track and face off against their biggest rivals, the Purdue Boilermakers. Everyone from Indiana understands how important the rivalry is, but a lot of the players on this team’s roster are transfers. Not only are there a lot of transfers, but 13 transfers are from JMU who didn’t really have any rivalry games.

The Indiana offense had a historic outing Saturday vs. Charlotte. The Hoosiers put up 52 points on the 49ers, continuing to dominate offensively. IU has now outscored their opponents 202-37 while averaging 50 points per game, becoming the first FBS program to reach 200 total points this season.

The Curt Cignetti era got off to a strong start as the Indiana Hoosiers got off to a 21-0 start and then shutout Florida International in the second half to comfortably win 31-7. The Hoosiers ran for 5.9 yards per carry and 234 yards on the ground and the defense was all over the Golden Panthers from the very beginning of the contest, rarely letting up. The game was not without some issues and Curt Cignetti was less than pleased with the offensive execution in the middle portion of the game.
