In the last four games, there has been a different receiver who led the team in receiving yards. Against FIU it was Omar Cooper Jr, WIU it was Elijah Sarratt, UCLA it was Miles Cross, and when Indiana faced off against Charlotte, it was Myles Price’s turn to lead the receivers (and all skill positions) in yards.

Price was all over the field last Saturday. He recorded three receptions for 77 yards, with the longest being a 39-yard reception. Price also rushed for a play and was a huge piece in getting the Hoosiers in good field position with his punt returns.

“I like to look at special teams, especially punt return, like backyard football. You just get the ball in your hand, now you trying to make everybody miss and go score touchdowns.” Price said in an interview on Tuesday.

Price did just that and was making people miss left and right. He recorded 44 yards on his three punt returns and showed how shifty he could be. He shows off his athleticism every game. Not only can Price evade defenders, but he also fights through hits and tries to gain as many yards as possible. His fearless approach of running through contact is most likely due to his background as a running back in high school.

“My dad hates it. He hates it, but I mean it’s just me. I just got a big heart, and it shows when I play. I like to just put my passion on display.” Price responded when asked if he enjoys fighting through contact.

Price loves to play hard and gives every snap his all. Even when he doesn’t get the ball, it doesn’t discourage him. He wants to play his best and he wants the success of the team just like everyone else.

“It’s about winning at the end of the day. Everybody wants to win. When you win, everybody gets looked at.” Price stated in his Tuesday interview.

He wants what is best for the whole team and he shows it every Saturday whether it’s making plays on offense or special teams. He just wants to see Indiana succeed. Price will continue to play wearing his heart on his sleeve week after week. For now, he’s excited to start conference play against a talented opponent and show the country what he’s got.
