Hunter Littlejohn (Redshirt junior)

-Height: 6’3”

-Weight: 305 pounds

-Hometown: Powell, Ohio

-Position: Offensive Line

Hunter Littlejohn was built for Big Ten football at 6-foot-3, 305-pounds. The Ohio native was a three-star recruit from Olentangy Liberty High School just north of Columbus. Littlejohn, rated by 247 Sports as one of the 50 best players in Ohio, chose Bloomington as his home. He redshirted his freshman year. Littlejohn made the most of his redshirt 2015 season by packing on the pounds – he increased his playing weight by nearly 40 pounds.

After earning scout team honors during the last week of his freshman season, Littlejohn played an emergency role in 2016. As a redshirt sophomore, he saw action in one game. Littlejohn’s focus in the classroom never wavered as he earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

Littlejohn won the job as starting center after a hard-fought battle throughout spring and summer. He started all 12 games at center for the Hoosiers. Littlejohn help command an IU offense that finished third in the Big Ten and 35th nationally in passing offense. Littlejohn was again an Academic All Big-Ten selection and he was IU’s offensive player of the week against Rutgers.

Littlejohn and the rest of the Indiana offensive lineman will need to step it up in 2018. The offensive line last season provided quarterbacks Peyton Ramsey and Richard Lagow with ample time to throw, but the Hoosiers rushing attach left something to be desired. With a seemingly strong stable of running backs, the IU O-line will have their chance to propel the Hoosier offense toward success next season. Hunter Littlejohn and his fellow linemen bring back a lot of experience. Hopefully for the Hoosiers, it pays off on the field.
