Countdown to Kickoff: #60– Jacob Limbach

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 215 pounds

Hometown: Greenwood, IN (Center Grove)

Class/Position: RS SO/LS

Jacob Limbach transferred to Indiana University in 2016 after spending a year at the University of Indianapolis. The Greenwood, Indiana native played for Center Grove High School under head coach Eric Moore. Limbach started all 14 games as a long snapper in 2015 when Center Grove won the state championship, going undefeated with a 14-0 record.

Limbach joined the IU football program as a walk-on during preseason camp—thus getting a late start to his first year as a Hoosier. He redshirted as a freshman and will look to make strides during his second year in Bloomington.  Limbach will likely compete for the backup long snapper position as senior Dan Godsil will start.

Listed at 6-foot-1, 210-pounds, Limbach’s ability to fulfill his duties as a long snapper are much more predicated on skill and technique. Regardless, Limbach serves as another strong body on Indiana’s offensive line. The Hoosiers will have good depth on the offensive front, and Jacob Limbach will make an impact any way he can.
