Rodger Saffold | Los Angeles Rams | G

While Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard continue to rack up yards and touchdowns, perhaps the most decorated Hoosier in the NFL is Rodger Saffold. He started 41 games for IU over the course of his four-year collegiate career, primarily at the left tackle position. By his senior year, he earned second team All-Big Ten honors and was projected as a second-round draft pick due to his size, durability, and athleticism. Indiana Hoosiers in the NFL

Indiana Hoosiers in the NFL

Good morning everyone. As you know last night didn’t exactly go as planned, but I have great news for you…It’s Sunday! All right, so it doesn’t necessarily make up for the debacle that was the Navy game, however it does mean that the other type of football, no not soccer, the NFL kicks off in earnest today. Sure there was the Peyton Manning (or was it John Elway?!...Come on Columbus!) tossing 7 touchdown passes against the defending champion Baltimore Ravens. Today however, marks the first day that allows you tit sit in front of the TV for back-to-back days and completely ignore the rest of your life for football.

I decided to look on the bright side this morning and look at all the talented former Hoosiers who are now playing their football on Sundays. While Indiana doesn’t have quite the numbers in the pros as many other programs, especially in the Big Ten there are still a solid group representing the Crimson and Crème. Here is a list that can help if you are looking for someone else to watch and cheer for today in addition to your team, or maybe there’s even a player you didn’t even realize was on your favorite squad. Here are the five guys, really just four due to injury, to be looking out for on Sundays this season.
