@scam-likely

pretty amusing that you rail against cultists and emotions and then spend an entire poorly written post talking about Trump the person.  Not a single word about issues and policies.  MAGA was around long before Trump, and was mentioned by other politicians and presidents.  Trump put it on a red hat and you and people like you freak out.  And then bitch about cultism and emotions.

I really don’t care what you think of me, but I am curious about what you have to say about the issues where I disagree with Trump  and where I steadfastly stand wth liberals.

Good luck.  He's been asked that many times but never responds with actual issues he disagrees with.

He overlooks Trump's rampant corruption as if it means nothing as long as the MAGA agenda is getting implemented.

Win at all costs..corruption be damned.  Could you imagine the outrage if Dems used the Trump corruption as precedent to do the same.  At this point, executive power has very few limits due to the spineless republicans in congress not doing **** or the illegally stacked Supreme Court.  MAGA likes their orange dictator now but what happens when the shoe is on the other foot..  all of a sudden they will rail against executive power and will depend on the biased and bribed Supreme Court to counter.

MAGA was around long before Trump, and was mentioned by other politicians and presidents.

Yep, they date back to Andrew Jackson. They would be called Know Nothings, then become isolationists in the wars, Birchers through the Cold War. It is long thread in American history.

Mainstream politicians liked some populist messages. But Ike HATED isolation. Buckley, according to AI:

Buckley's defining legacy within conservatism was his effort to distance the mainstream movement from conspiracy theorists, bigots, and radical extremists.

There is overlap with liberalism and left-wing populism (which in places agrees greatly with conservative populism). But I don't feel the need to defend them at all costs, look at the anti threads to see how often I post. I will state now, President AOC takes truckloads of Top Secret documents out with her, send her to jail. See, it is easy to hold people on your own side accountable.

As biased as most MAGA likely think I am, they will not find one post of mine defending a dem that did anything corrupt or scandalous.  Most dem voters would appear to be the same given that dems who are caught up in scandals tend to drop out of the race...not become president.  I don't count Clinton since his scandal blew up after he was already president.

Excellent.  I assume you will admit then that Biden's admin border policy was corrupt and scandalous?

Disagreeing with a policy doesn't make it corrupt or scandalous.  Nice try.

So, not enforcing laws isn't corrupt or scandalous?

If you think the legislative branch has only ceded power to the executive branch during this admin, you haven't been paying attention.

@snarlcakes here is the exact law:

Anyalienwho is physically present in theUnited Statesor who arrives in theUnited States(whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including analienwho is brought to theUnited Statesafter having been interdicted in international orUnited Stateswaters), irrespective of suchalien’s status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225(b) of this title.

What does it say about being physically present in the US? Specifically, read it at https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1158 , one cannot apply for asylum outside the US.

Read the law and note that people who have applied and have cases pending have been arrested and deported. That means the current administration isn't following the law

I have argued a long time that the law needs changed as the law requires an asylum seeker to come to the US. It specifically does not require them to only apply at a port of entry.

Top lawyers that have read it say it was a good case and Trump had a very good chance of being convicted.

Any lawyer who draws meaningful conclusions simply by reading the unchallenged written report of a prosecutor, which report is not filed under  a standard imposed by court rules. is not a top lawyer

Their resumes say they are. Your opinion is an outlier and among a tiny minority I’ve read and heard. The President would probably have been found guilty in the election interference and documents cases. That’s the consensus opinion. Amazingly, you seem to know less about each case than most lawyers. You know less than even I know. Did you stop reading and researching after you retired?

@co-hoosier never trumpers are Republicans. They are people who think Trump represents something wholly incompatible with traditional conservative values. People like Aloha.

Just hold on a second, Goat.  Aloha is a Biden and Kate Hobbs voting sh#t lib.  He's on your team.

And we can add No True Scotsman to the ever growing list of fallacies being thrown around on this forum recently.

I see you are lost on this topic and need some help. I'll make you a quick cheat sheet to help you identify these folks.

Title: You're probably a sh#t lib

- If you voted for Clinton, Biden, or Harris

- If you spend a majority of your time complaining about Trump instead of sh#t libs

- You refrained from voting for Trump in 2016,20, and 24

- You wanted Trump to loose against Harris

- If you are voting for Democrat Governors because you claim the GOP nomination is MAGA

- You dislike Bitcoin

If you have 2 or more of these afflictions you're a sh#t lib.  Aloha has all 6 of them.  Sorry, I don't make the rules.

That’s pretty stupid and some is very wrong. Also it’s “lose” not “loose.”

in a couple years you’ll deny that you ever supported Trump.

Why? He's had a good term so far and has been infinitely better than Biden/Harris.

I won't care about Trump in a couple years because he won't be the President.  I find the assessing over any politician to be really weird.

A good term? You must be high. Other than the border he's been pretty much shit. He's been so bad that Trumpsters/MAGAs will deny ever supporting him soon after he's out of office.

Assessing?

That is a dumb take.   Any lawyer with an IQ above 50 could find meaningful conclusions from a well-written report from a prosecutor.  Of course, it is poorly written or doesn't contain the facts of the case then sure no one could draw a conclusion from it.

You're just finding excuses to pretend like your OPINION is the only valid one, even in the mountains of evidence showing that you're biased and wrong.

It's not at all poorly written. Linked again after many other times, but COH won't read a word of it (prefers to be ignorant).

justice.gov/storage/Report-of-Special-Counsel-Smith-Volume-1-January-2025.pdf

Judge Cannon, who couldn't possibly be more obviously in the bag for Trump, is preventing the document case report from being released.

@hurryinghoosiers

If all we are able to consider was the government’s take on issues, the government would never lose.

Read the report and post some specific critiques of it. Otherwise, you're just posting BS.
