But it's a matter of historical record that the Never Trump movement was an intraparty revolt led by establishment conservatives within the GOP who felt Trump was wholly unfit as the potential leader of both their party and the country. Any claim to the contrary is not only patently false, it's also just plain silly, because there's zero to be gained by inventing these made-up origin stories.

COH is engaging in typical revisionist history. Anything that shines the spotlight on Trump's unfitness can't have come from the Republican mainstream that he has believed in all his life, since that would lend legitimacy to the charges. Therefore, it must have come from those awful shitlibs and their media lackeys.

The "Never Trump" movement was a movement within the Republican party, specifically among old-guard establishment conservatives.

That’s not my recollection. I don’t think Trump opponents called themselves “never trumpers”. That name sprung from those who disagreed with them and it applies more broadly.

According to Wiki you have it right.  But your description seems to be incomplete.  The never Trump movement is much deeper  than believing Trump is unfit.  It has become extremely intolerant and stubborn.  It has expanded that intolerance to anybody who agrees with Trump.  At the deepest levels, never Trumpism has caused anxiety and rage towards anybody who agrees with Trump.  It has broken families and friendships.

Crazy

It’s more than opposing him in the primaries. It’s acknowledgement that he’s unfit for the office he holds.

Lol I might be able to get to the unfit part. That wouldn’t stop me from supporting and defending some of Trump’s positions. However,  Does a never Trumper also hafta say jack smith is a good lawyer and his DC indictments had merit?  I can’t ever get there

@ @

They had a lot of merit and many renowned lawyers say as much. You are in a very tiny minority that say otherwise. I know you have never read Smith’s election interference report. Top lawyers that have read it say it was a good case and Trump had a very good chance of being convicted. Instead, he’s our President.

Wrong. It started during the 2016 primaries and many Republicans said they’d take any of the Republicans in the race over Trump. We became Never Trumpers.

That’s been my approach to Trump in Republican primaries.

I guess I’m a Never Trumper myself.

Nah. The Never Trumpers are the ones who let their brain get rat fucked and started voting for Democrats and molesting people. Grifting off the strange new credibility and maybe even money they could get from Democrats and other Trump haters.

Like you and the Lincoln Project for instance.

Aren’t you gay and a member of the Log Cabin Republicans?

”Aren’t you a member of the Log Cabin Republicans?”

Would be the dig you’re looking for. It doesn’t explain the joke and avoids your trademark redundancy.

Explaining it is necessary with you.

@co-hoosier never trumpers are Republicans. They are people who think Trump represents something wholly incompatible with traditional conservative values. People like Aloha.

Just hold on a second, Goat.  Aloha is a Biden and Kate Hobbs voting sh#t lib.  He's on your team.

And we can add No True Scotsman to the ever growing list of fallacies being thrown around on this forum recently.

I see you are lost on this topic and need some help. I'll make you a quick cheat sheet to help you identify these folks.

Title: You're probably a sh#t lib

- If you voted for Clinton, Biden, or Harris

- If you spend a majority of your time complaining about Trump instead of sh#t libs

- You refrained from voting for Trump in 2016,20, and 24

- You wanted Trump to loose against Harris

- If you are voting for Democrat Governors because you claim the GOP nomination is MAGA

- You dislike Bitcoin

If you have 2 or more of these afflictions you're a sh#t lib.  Aloha has all 6 of them.  Sorry, I don't make the rules.

That’s pretty stupid and some is very wrong. Also it’s “lose” not “loose.”

in a couple years you’ll deny that you ever supported Trump.

Any lawyer who draws meaningful conclusions simply by reading the unchallenged written report of a prosecutor, which report is not filed under  a standard imposed by court rules. is not a top lawyer

Magaism becomes a foundational ideal to some dumbies. Those are the cultists. To admit to anything being wrong would be to admit their very being is wrong. Being a part of it validates the lives of those who have never had a sense of community and/or belonging. They didn't fit in anywhere but now they do. It's the same things cults do. These are the rare now..

Other dumbies hate progressives so much that they don't care how flawed MAGA is. They want vengeance against something and see Maga as a way to get it. As long as the darker people who speak funny get hassled, or alphabet people get dehumanized, women are dismissed as 2nd class and the libs get owned, it's all good.

They see libs as the gatekeepers keeping them from their full retribution and will gleefully cut off their own dicks just to see someone they hate get f*cked over.. These are the haters.  It's based on some type of fear often originating in some type of sexual ineffectuality or disgruntlement. fwiw - There's a lot of disgruntled ineffectual scared lil' b*tches here. You know who you are.

The shallowest of the dumbies are the ones who are nothing but fans. They see it as simple as IU vs PU because...  they're simpletons. They root for their side only because it's their side and has generally always been their side.

CoH always points out how much the left "hates" Trump as the reason their views are wrong. He's projecting and lying to himself. Like we're the  emotional ones and it has nothing to do with the obvious lack of competence, leadership, intelligence and integrity that Trump exhibits.

Those are pretty damn important qualities for any leader. Trusting someone to lead that lacks those qualities, like the transactional opportunists the PDF party currently are, is just begging to get f*cked over.

The movement was from within the party but the name it was given may not have been.

Why? He's had a good term so far and has been infinitely better than Biden/Harris.

I won't care about Trump in a couple years because he won't be the President.  I find the assessing over any politician to be really weird.

That is a dumb take.   Any lawyer with an IQ above 50 could find meaningful conclusions from a well-written report from a prosecutor.  Of course, if it is poorly written or doesn't contain the facts of the case then sure no one could draw a conclusion from it but that is not the case here.

You're just finding excuses to pretend like your OPINION is the only valid one, even in the mountains of evidence showing that you're biased and wrong.

If all we are able to consider was the government’s take on issues, the government would never lose.

Never said we should just consider the government's take on issues but reports should include the facts of the case and the evidence that supports it.  More than enough for a lawyer to voice an opinion.

What do you have to support your opinion that the case against Trump wasn't legit.  Was it just because your daddy (Trump) told you it wasn't legit?  That's a valid source. (sarcasm)
