So much of what we've seen from Trump 2.0 is him being able to install his sycophants into positions that were intended to be a check on unrestrained Presidential actions, from the trivial to the existential. While this is closer to the trivial end, it's yet another example of the damage he's done to our system. Not to mention the guy has the taste of a stripper.

Why? I'm perfectly fine with private funds being used for White House innovations. It just needs to be completely transparent and normal procedures for renovations of historic buildings needs to be followed. Neither of those two things are really happening.It SHOULD be paid for by tax dollars.
Yesterday I watched dozens of MAGAs on social media claim that the East Wing wasn't being demolished, even after White House officials, the press secretary and the President himself admitted that the entire East Wing was being demolished. Of course, MAGAs were making that claim because the President had claimed none of the White House (and the East Wing is part of the White House) was going to be damaged due to the Ballroom project. Today I'm noticing not a single MAGA is admitting they were wrong about the demolition. None. It's truly a phenomenon worth a long-term study.
In addition, might be time to convert the basketball court back into pickelball courts. 😄 Maybe an indoor hitting bay w launch monitor on the other half.

That tweet is a lie. Obama finished an infrastructure upgrade started under Bush which was approved by Congress. Actual renovations of the residence done at Obama's behest were paid for by the Obamas and didn't cost anywhere near that amount of money.
