Indiana Lands 3-Star Running Back Tim Baldwin over South Carolina and West Virginia

While awaiting the news of their bowl destination the Indiana Hoosiers received some great news from the recruiting trail as three-star running back Tim Baldwin from Patriot High School in Nokesville, Virginia. Baldwin was committed to Michigan in 2018, but de-commited just a few weeks after. Baldwin had 17 total offers and he chose Indiana over South Carolina and West Virginia.

Former Stanford OL Dylan Powell Commits to Indiana

The future of Indiana’s offensive line got a big boost Friday evening as Stanford offensive lineman Dylan Powell announced his intentions to transfer to Indiana. Powell’s commitment lightens the blow of the graduation of guard Simon Stepaniak and center Hunter Littlejohn. During his career at Stanford, Powell played in 20 games bouncing between the guard and center positions. Powell, who stands at six-foot-three and weighs 281 pounds, did not play in 2019 after entering the NCAA Transfer Portal in October.

College football’s early signing period runs from December 19 to December 21. That leaves programs roughly two weeks to solidify their current commits and add more to the class. The Indiana Hoosiers received some good news as they enter Bucket Week as they gain the commitment of three-star offensive guard Vinny Sciury. The Hoosiers 2020 class stands at 14 members and sits at 62nd nationally and 12th in the Big Ten.

With the early signing period just over two months away, it’s time to take a look at who has committed to play football for Indiana so far. Tom Allen set the bar high with the highest-ranked recruiting class in IU football history in 2019. As of October 9th, Indiana’s 2020 class is ranked 60th nationally and 12th in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports. (All rankings of players are directly from 247Sports).

For Brady Feeney, Indiana was “Right up His Alley”

Both Brady Feeney and the Indiana offense line won big last Sunday when Feeney flipped from Rice University and verbally committed to carry his football career to Indiana. Feeney received his first offer to play power five football and immediately decided Bloomington would be home following his senior year at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Missouri.

Hoosiers Land 6'7" Three-Star Tight End Jalen Williams from Florida

The recruiting trail has stayed hot for Tom Allen and the Hoosier staff as they landed 6’7”, 200-pound tight end Jalen Williams on Thursday night as they kicked off Fall Camp. Williams is rated a three-star recruit (85.77) by 247 Sports composite ranking and is the 38th best tight end in the nation. Williams played his high school football at Wekiva High School in Apoka, Florida.

Hoosiers Land Second Three-Star OL Commit of the Day in Coleon Smith

Tom Allen and the Indiana Hoosier football staff landed their second three-star offensive lineman of the day, and fourth of the 2020 cycle, in Bellville, Michigan native Coleon Smith. Smith committed to the Hoosiers over offers from Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, West Liberty and West Virginia.

Hoosiers Flip Three-Star Lineman Brady Feeney From Rice

The offensive line is a top priority in the 2020 class for the Hoosiers and Tom Allen and his staff bolstered that position on Sunday morning as they flipped Brady Feeney from Rice. Feeney, no relation to former Hoosier All-America Dan Feeney, is a 6’4” 285-pound guard. He is rated a three-star prospect (83.16) by 247 Sports Composite ranking. Feeney plays his high school football at Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, Missouri. He held seven total offers, but Indiana was his only Power Five offer.

Hoosiers Land Commitment from Three-Star Athlete Javon Swinton

It has been a quiet July for the Hoosiers on the recruiting front, but it came alive on Thursday afternoon as three-star athlete Javon Swinton pledged his services to Tom Allen and his staff. The Hoosiers plucked the 6’1” 160-pound athlete out of ACC country. Swinton is out of North Stafford High School in Stafford, Virginia.
