With the early signing period just over two months away, it’s time to take a look at who has committed to play football for Indiana so far. Tom Allen set the bar high with the highest-ranked recruiting class in IU football history in 2019. As of October 9th, Indiana’s 2020 class is ranked 60th nationally and 12th in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports. (All rankings of players are directly from 247Sports).

Rashawn Williams: 6-1/185, 4-Star WR (Natl 239, Pos 42, St 6)

The highly-prized Rashawn Williams turned down offers from both Michigan and Michigan State and verbally committed to Indiana in late April. The four-star wide receiver is the highest-ranked commit in IU football history and will make an immediate impact to carry on IU’s much-improved offense. The Hoosiers receiving corps will have to deal with the loss of fifth year seniors Nick Westbrook and Donavan Hale after the season, and Williams will help fill the gap after their departure.

Jalen Williams: 6-7/200, 3-Star TE (Natl 821, Pos 35, St 114)

Jalen Williams is the second-highest ranked recruit Tom Allen was able to funnel in through the Florida pipeline. The three-star athlete was recruited to Indiana as a tight end. Williams possesses the raw talent to be key player in Kalen DeBoer’s offensive game plan. His development lays heavily in the hands of David Ballou and Dr. Matt Rhea to add to his 6’7” 200-pound stature.

Lemuel Neely-Watley: 5-11/170, 3-Star CB (Natl 940, Pos 73, St 27)

Lemuel Neely-Watley was a surprise addition to Tom Allen’s 2020 recruiting class, as he is the second Michigan native to turn down a Michigan State offer and commit to playing football at IU. The three-star cornerback will join former teammate Rashawn Williams in Bloomington. Neely-Watley’s versatility as a receiver, corner, and returner make him one of the best catches of the 2020 class.

David Baker: 6-2/196, 3-Star WR (Natl 949, Pos 150, St 6)

Hailing from Indianapolis, three-star wide receiver David Baker chose Indiana for his college football career. As the sixth-ranked recruit in Indiana, Baker earned offers from Iowa, Michigan, Purdue, and six others. Baker is known for his versatility— his ability to play inside and out of the slot.

Christopher Keys: 6-1/165, 3-Star CB (Natl 955, Pos 77, St 28)

Christopher Keys earned himself an offer at Indiana’s June camp and was quick to accept. The Mississippi cornerback is ranked 77th for his position and is the 28th ranked prospect in the state.

Caleb Murphy: 6-4/250, 3-Star WDE (Natl 1094, Pos 50, St 10)

Allen and staff have worked hard to keep Indiana talent in-state and Caleb Murphy is one of five Hoosiers so far to commit to IU. It wasn’t a hard choice for Murphy to commit to his dream school when he got the call in June. With 84 tackles, 11 for loss and a pair of sacks on his junior season, he is the tenth-best player in the state for the class of 2020.

Luke Wiginton: 6-5/275, 3-Star OT (Natl 1189, Pos 101, St 11)

Indiana added Luke Wiginton to the list of Hoosiers in the 2020 commitment class in early April. The Bishop Dwenger offensive tackle holds other power five offers from the likes of Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois, and Vanderbilt. His 6’5” frame is primed for the college weight room, and could really do some damage with some development.

Brady Feeney: 6-4/285, 3-Star OG (Natl 1426, Pos 84, St 26)

Indiana got themselves an all-around impactful player when Feeney flipped from Rice in July. At 6’4”, 285 pounds his body is built for the Big Ten offensive line, as is his warrior mentality and leadership as a four-year starter at Christian Brothers College in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Javon Swinton: 6-1/160, 3-Star ATH (Natl 1503, Pos 124, St 30)

Hailing from Virginia, Javon Swinton verbally committed to Indiana in late July. The three-star athlete pocketed offers from Virginia, Syracuse, Temple and four smaller programs. He was recruited as an athlete that has the ability to contribute on both sides of the ball.

Dexter Williams: 6-1/190, 3-Star DUAL (Natl 1555, Pos 34, St 157)

Georgia dual-threat quarterback Dexter Williams committed to Indiana in June. The 6’1” 190-pound Mount De Sales Academy standout will join a room of talented quarterbacks at IU.

Ty Wise: 6-2/215, 3-Star OLB (Natl 1674, Pos 113, St 21)

Hoosier native Wise was the first addition to Allen’s 2020 class. The 6’11, 210-pound standout has proven himself to be a consistent, destructive threat as an outside linebacker for Carmel High School.

Coleon Smith: 6-6/340, 3-star OT (Natl 1952, Pos 165, St 45)

Coleon Smith makes for three Michigan natives in the 2020 commitment class, and is by far the largest at 6’6” and 340 pounds. Smith has the obvious build for a destructive Big Ten offensive tackle, and will only get better when Ballou and Rhea get ahold of him.

Jejuan Sparks: 6-2/295, 3-Star DT (Natl 2082, Pos 147, St 285)

Jejuan Sparks is another standout from the state of Florida the Hoosiers were able to get— number two for the 2020 class. The three-star defensive tackle will join former Clearwater teammates D.K. Bonhomme and Sio Nofoagatoto’a in Bloomington.

Cameron Knight: 6-3/270, 3-Star OG (Natl 2103, Pos 127, St 27)

Noblesville, Indiana standout Cameron Knight committed to IU in May. The decision was not hard for the Knight, whose other offer was from Ball State. Fans will recognize Cameron Knight as the younger brother of former Hoosier offensive lineman and current Dallas Cowboy Brandon Knight. Knight’s another level of depth needed on the offensive line.
