Tom Allen and the Indiana Hoosier football staff landed their second three-star offensive lineman of the day, and fourth of the 2020 cycle, in Bellville, Michigan native Coleon Smith. Smith committed to the Hoosiers over offers from Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, West Liberty and West Virginia.

Smith made a heartfelt statement on Twitter announcing his commitment to the Hoosiers. He said:

First I’d love to say All god be the glory. Dear dad, Leonard Smith wish you were here with me now to celebrate this great moment, I know you’ve been watching over me through the process. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART. Rip 50. I also want to thank MY Village of people who helped me get to this point my mother, grandmother, My Aunt, Coach Crowell, and all the coaches who taught me and believe in me on every level, making me the man I am today and sacrificing time and money to make me successful. I’d like to thank god For giving me great academic and athletic ability. Without further ado I’m ecstatic to announce I’ll be furthering my academic and athletic career at INDIANA UNIVERSITY #LEO #GoHoosiers

Smith is a 6’6” 340-pound tackle prospect who is rated three stars (79.98) by 247Sports composite rankings. His HUDL highlights show a player who is long and powerful, and has a lot of tools needed to make the move into the interior of the line at guard at the next level. He is the 14th commitment in the Hoosiers 2020 class which now ranks 52nd nationally and 11th in the Big Ten.
