The two-sport athlete committed to Indiana on December 18th, an early Christmas present for Hoosier Nation. Hale had a strong senior season at quarterback for the Largo Packers, throwing for 1,488 yards, nine touchdowns and just five interceptions while rushing for 224 yards and five touchdowns. Hale displayed great arm strength and was able to extend plays with his legs in his highlight tape. The talented prospect will get a shot at quarterback, but will likely end up elsewhere. Depending on how his 6-foot 4, 190 pound frame fills out, he could end up on offense at either wide receiver or tight end or on defense at safety or linebacker.

Thornton held offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa State, Toledo, and Western Michigan. He is rated by 247’s Composite ranking as the 11th best player in Illinois and the 72nd best receiver prospect nationally.
