On March 5th, scouts from across the NFL flew into Bloomington for Indiana’s Pro Day to evaluate the Hoosiers’ draft eligible stars from the 2023 season with hopes to get a good look at their strengths and weaknesses. These Pro Days are important, as we saw just last year Cam Jones performing well at the Pro Day and ending up winning a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs. While no Super Bowl is guaranteed, these Hoosiers hope to follow in Cam’s footsteps in the future, and a strong Pro Day is a great way to get there.

The Indiana Hoosiers will hit the turf at Memorial Stadium for the final time on Saturday in the battle for the Old Brass Spittoon. With a win IU will not only raise the Victory Flag, they will retain the Old Brass Spittoon for back-to-back matchups for the first time since 1969 when the Hoosiers won their third straight against the Spartans. Both teams enter the season with 3-7 (1-6) records so what will IU have to do to come out victorious.

The Hoosiers special teams unit could be one of the best in the Big Ten in 2023 if coordinator Kasey Teegardin can put all the pieces together. The Hoosiers have some potentially great pieces at every position of this phase of the game headlined by All-American kick returner Jaylin Lucas.

The Indiana football program needed an influx of talent at the receiver position after graduation and the transfer portal took several pieces from their room. With the additions of EJ Williams, a former 4-star recruit and Clemson Tiger and DeQuece Carter a Fordham transfer, the Hoosiers are hoping to revamp and develop a play making wide receiver unit for this upcoming season. The Hoosiers also expect Cam Camper to be fully healthy once the season rolls around.

The Indiana Hoosiers picked up another wide receiver from the transfer portal in DeQuece Carter from Fordham University. Carter is the second wide receiver to join the Hoosiers during the transfer visit window.
