The Hoosiers receive their second bye week in Week 9 in 2014. Week 10 takes them on a trip to Michigan to face the Wolverines. The matchup last season was as an explosive and high scoring game as we have seen in a very long time. The Hoosiers came out of the short end of the stick however. This year Indiana returns to the Big House on a mission to beat the boys in Maize and Blue for just the second time since 1967.

The Indiana Hoosiers have finally figured out who their starting quarterback will be in 2014. That man is Nate Sudfeld. Coach Kevin Wilson had the choice made for him after both Cam Coffman (winter) and Tre Roberson (summer) transferred from the program. The Hoosiers are officially Nate Sudfeld’s team, however there are issues about the depth at a position that just a year ago was loaded.

As fall camp draws closer and regular season college football crawls ever so near, we will to preview every position group on the 2014 Indiana Hoosier football team. First up are the Hoosier running backs.

 

The 2013 Indiana offense got its reputation as a pass heavy attack, however they did average over 200 yards a game on the ground. This season, with the departures of four major pass catchers, the Hoosiers could become even more reliant on the run. This is not a bad thing either. The Hoosiers have a bevy or talented running backs headlined by junior Tevin Coleman, but there is talent behind him in D’Angelo Roberts and the speedy Laray Smith. Let’s get down to each individual to see what he brings to the Hoosier backfield.
