Welcome back to our TBT series! We get to review the final non-conference game for the Hoosiers in 2014, a 49-24 win over North Texas. This is what the Hoosiers offense was supposed to look like all year, hitting on big plays and outscoring opponents. It was as sharp as Nate Sudfeld had been all year and Shane Wynn led the way with two long touchdown catches.

Hoosiers Blow By North Texas on A Blustery Saturday in Bloomington

The Indiana Hoosiers (3-2) raced out to an early 21-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the North Texas Mean Green (2-3) 49-24 Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Hoosiers were led by the play of two seniors. Wide receiver Shane Wynn broke out of his mini slump catching two long Nate Sudfeld passes for scores. He finished with five catches for 127 yards. Fellow senior D’Angelo Roberts, the other Indiana running back, scored twice as well highlighted by a terrific 47-yard scamper to put the Hoosiers up 28-7 early on in the third quarter.

Game Wrap and Reaction: Indiana vs. North Texas

Indiana did what it was supposed to do against an inferior opponent. The Hoosiers beat the Mean Green 49-24 and it really was not that close a contest. The Hoosiers sprinted out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. The Indiana defense set the tone early when Tegray Scales picked off a pass on North Texas’s first drive. The Hoosiers finished with two takeaways on the day.
