Just hours after the 2024 college football season came to a close with the Ohio State Buckeyes hoisting the College Football Playoff National Championship trophy, the last AP poll of the season was released. The Hoosiers finished 10th after going 11-2 (8-1) and qualified for the College Football Playoff.

The Indiana Hoosiers finished the 2024 regular season with an 11-1 (8-1) record. IU was ranked ninth in both the AP and Coaches Polls in the final regular season rankings after a 66-0 win over Purdue, one spot higher than last week.

The Indiana Hoosiers football team is soaring to heights that have not been reached in a very long time. The 10-0 (7-0) Hoosiers were ranked 5th by the AP Poll and 6th in the Coaches Poll on Sunday. The College Football Playoff rankings come out on Tuesday night. IU was ranked 8th in the last ranking (seeded 9th).

The Indiana Hoosiers (6-2) finished 12th in the final AP Poll of the 2020 season that was released very early Tuesday morning. The Hoosiers dropped from seventh to 12th after their 26-20 loss in the Outback Bowl to Ole Miss. This is the sixth time the Hoosiers have finished the season ranked in the AP Poll and the first since 1988. The Hoosiers are ranked for the 10th consecutive week in the AP Poll.

The Indiana Hoosiers (6-1) stay ranked seventh in the latest AP Poll that was released prior to the College Football Playoff Selection Show. The Hoosiers have been idle the last two weeks due to COVID cancelations. This is a program-record eighth straight week that the Hoosiers have been ranked in the AP poll. The Hoosiers are still awaiting their bowl destination.

The Indiana Hoosiers (6-1) were idle in the final week of the regular season after the annual Old Oaken Bucket Game was canceled based on a mutual decision between both IU and Purdue. Even through the Hoosiers did not play this week they moved up to number seven in the AP poll and to number seven in the Amway Coaches Poll. This is the seventh consecutive week the Hoosiers have been ranked in both polls.

The Indiana Hoosiers (5-1) returned to the AP top 10 this week after a bounce back 27-11 win over Maryland Saturday. The Hoosiers came into the game ranked 12th in all three polls. This is the Hoosiers sixth-straight week ranked in the AP Top 25, which is their longest streak since 1987. The Hoosiers are one of five Big Ten teams ranked in the top 25 (Ohio State No.3, Indiana No. 10, Northwestern No. 16, Wisconsin No. 18 and Iowa No. 24).
