Class of 2025 tight end Emmett Bork was in Bloomington last weekend and the Wisconsin native was impressed what he saw from the Indiana football staff.

“I think that this new staff is already building a winning culture and keeping everyone accountable and setting up the program for success.” Bork told Hoosier Huddle. “I also feel that the program is getting well prepared in the off-season in order to perform at the highest level when the season is here.”

The Hoosiers are in the middle of winter conditioning under a new strength and conditioning staff. Bork was pleasantly surprised by what he learned from the S&C staff.

“Some surprises to me were all of the measurable data that came out of the strength and conditioning program such as the progress players made throughout the season and that players we’re actually performing at a higher level towards the end of the season rather than the start.” Bork explained.

New head coach Curt Cignetti has not been shy about placing high expectations on the program and talking about his outstanding record as a college football head coach. That culture stuck out to Bork as well.

“I think that this new staff is already building a winning culture and keeping everyone accountable and setting up the program for success. I also feel that the program is getting well prepared in the off-season in order to perform at the highest level when the season is here.” Bork said.

As a 6’6” tight end, Bork also was informed how Indiana plans to use the position on offense. It’s a position that has been under utilized in previous years.

“I got to speak with Coach Cignetti briefly and I’m really exited to see what he is bringing to IU and I think that the team is going to be super successful these next few years with the new staff.” Bork said. “I am also exited to see the new tight end scheme on offense and what Coach (Grant)Cain is bringing to Indiana.”

Bork has been on several game day visits to schools already and while he has not received an offer yet, he plans on going on more visits this spring.
