https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/48017235/us-women-hockey-declines-trump-invite-state-union

"We are sincerely grateful for the invitation extended to our gold medal-winning U.S. Women's Hockey Team and deeply appreciate the recognition of their extraordinary achievement," the U.S. women's team said in a statement released Monday. "Due to the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments following the Games, the athletes are unable to participate. They were honored to be included and are grateful for the acknowledgment."

@dbmhoosier Norwegian judge. Go figure. No other freestyler put down a 1980 this year.

These cunty European judges need to catch a beating.

Be patient.

Vladimir is set to administer a beating to Poland, UK, Germany and a couple more euros...

What’s your suggestion on how he should travel? Congress passed a statute years ago that sets the parameters for his travel.

I would presume that, as a member of such a rigidly law-abiding administration, that he follows the rules on business travel. Smile If indeed he was often in meetings reviewing security protocols for the Olympics, that seems like reasonable business activities (though not sure why that would not be done BEFORE the games).  It would also be required of him to separate out personal / leisure activities and personal days from business activities, and to pay for those out of pocket.

Chugging beers in the locker room, wearing medals, and in general acting like a frat boy on Spring Break seem like non-business functions.

I make no assumption that he didn't pay for frat boy time out of pocket, again, as a member of such a rigidly law-abiding administration!

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"

I have supported a balanced budget amendment for 40 years now.

I am for lower spending overall, not wasting dollars, and spending money ways providing long term returns on investment. Take the 37 billion dollars allocated to new immigrant detention facilities in the past year and you'd fund all academic biomedical research for decades. Take the money Trump spends on golf trips and you might cover academic biomedical research.  There's bad spending, there's awful spending, and there is prudent spending.  Eliminate the 1st two and you have more room for the 3rd, with a MUCH lower overall cost.

Be quiet clown. Anyone that knows how to read a balance sheet can tell you that eliminating and/ or restructuring Social Security and Medicare is the only way the American budget will ever be balanced.

Fighting over pennies like executive travel is so dumb it makes me want to smack a fool.

Couple of Hundred $Billion off the War/Dirty Tricks Departments budget would help.
