Good God, you're dumb.

Straight forward question, will you answer it?

@hhlurker I think there’s some merit to that but they are also impressionable and recognize there’s a marked difference between the Biden admin and Trump and have a vested interest in the outcomes of elections

@ohio-guy that’s the question isn’t it.  But when the public is for stronger measures and the voters want strong measures and the Dem party is against it I think we all know why. Dems being Dems….if it were inconsequential they’d be for stronger measures

The cheating most likely to occur is with citizens who change their state residence. COoperation between states is less likely to catch dual or triple or morple voting. That could be either side of the aisle, but more likely Republican because they're frikkin' selfish bitsches. (joke)

@hooky As much as I dislike HRC, she never claimed to lose due to fraud. Her bitch was about Comey reopening the documents case a couple weeks before the election and the fact that Russia was trying to influence the election in favor of Trump. She conceded the election to Trump. Trump did not concede in 2020. He didn’t even go to the inauguration - the first time that’s happened in our history.

Because 2016 didn't have mass mail in balloting dumbass.  Maybe we should go back to that so people can't complain anymore.  Worked well forever.

Yes we did, dipshit. I voted by mail in 2016. We had more mail in voting in 2024 than 2016. We had the most in 2020 for obvious reasons. Look at the record rather than spouting BS.

Did you know that before 2016, more Republicans than Democrats voted by mail? 2016 is when the stupids became Republican. Like you.

This thread sucks.

Starting with the very first response, I immediately noticed.

Personally, I think a more interesting question than the OP is how the results of the 2026 election might affect 2028. For instance, if Dems take both halves, will they get blamed for the inevitably lousy economy under Trump's final two years? If Dems get to 50 in the Senate, leaving the Pubs control, will that leave more blame on the Republicans, possibly enabling the Dems to sweep to a 60 majority in the Senate? Such questions...

@goat this board sucks.  Want to talk soccer?  Messi retired from the argies. I will not be well when he hangs it all up.  He got four goals in his last mls game. At 40.  Hopefully he’ll be a champion of how undiagnosed autism can be channeled to create the greatest menace sport has ever known

I think your fear or concern is justified--why oppose the IDs? My experience is that voting precinct staff are conscientious and check voting lists carefully. Ultimately, our system is surprisingly legitimate for whatever reason. Far more insidious is Trump and others undermining its legitimacy conspiratorially. That's really bad for a trusting nation that relies on trust to forward the democratic experiment.

If politics were more honest, it wouldn't be hard to get agreement on improving the trustworthiness of our voting system. For example, if Republicans didn't frame it as a divisive issue.

Why is the economy going to be lousy?

Also, no go on the 60 Senate seats for Democrats.  Bush was a special kind of stupid to pull that one off.  One of the bottom 5 bottom Presidents with Biden.

@hhlurker nonsense.  There’s not a single reason to be opposed to IDS.  If they came with a twenty dolllar Walmart gift card every last one of these people would get them.  IDs are common sense. To oppose them raises questions

It's also bullsh#t when they say it's hard for people to get an ID. Over half all Americans have a passport now.
