They are probably the closest, in action, to what you claim are "American values". Hard working, entrepreneurial, capitalists.

Like TdA and MS 13?  How about Escobar?  The Sinaloa cartel?   It wasn't that long ago when my stoker and i were escorted by Belize military units to visit ancient ruins near the Guatemalan border.

but those equipped to understand it properly can utilize it as intended - as a research paradigm.

What does this mean?  Marxist thinking is more popular than at any time since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Just like cartoon socialists.

Those who advocate a future without capitalism are just kidding around and not to be taken seriously?

I think you and @twenty should read Rubio’s cautionary tale given in Athens.

@co-hoosier then the critique should be focused upon the law. And a failure to ever clarify/ resolve it. Not making attacks on people that are taking any / best route available to then. No different than any of us would do, if the situations were reversed.

It seems to me that everything comes down to RAICES v. Mullin and how the SCOTUS decides this landmark case next year.

And what about them? Finish the thought all the way though. See the causes, effects.

I think your obvious lack of basic reading comprehension means you should back the fuck up a step and lay off the arrogance a bit.

@snarlcakes it’s his fault for not placating and just following his own stupid paths.  No one wanted tariffs. He did. No one wanted a war in Iran. He did. He’s a shit president

You're equating things that aren't equal.  The Iran and tariffs don't matter.  They're minor issues.  If he didn't implement tariffs and never started Iran, but kept immigration streaming in he would be a sh#t President.

I just get sick of people b#tching about liberals like Mandami, AOC, but they're too dumb to realize they got here because of immigration.  Either vote for people who cut off immigration or shut up about sh#t libs.

There are 2 parts to the immigration problem and Trump only fixed one. When your house burns down, yes, you put out the fire but you also have to rebuild the house. We were completely failed on the mass deportations we were promised. A clear majority of the country wants them but unfortunately the big donors in hospitality and agriculture won out.

If Trump had simply not started any wars, deported 20M+ illegals, and released all of the Epstein files the Republicans would be adding seats next week.

Many of those people accused of being "illegals" simply due to how they entered the country were actually in the country legally awaiting their asylum requests.

Making illegal deportations was time consuming and don't pretend everyone supported that crap.  just the bigots.

@snarlcakes Please explain how AOC got here because of immigration. That one's a head-scratcher.

I guess, technically, we all did.

I guarantee that is not an argument that snarl has ever put much truck by.

I care about the percentage of foreign born immigrants, where they come from, and who they vote for long term.  And I've been fighting for an independent Puerto Rico for decades now.  You colonizers can kiss my a#$.  Long live BBLs.

You're only "fighting" for Puerto Rico to be independent because you don't want them to become a state and have a vote.  The only reason republicans don't want Puerto Rico to become a state is fear that they would vote democrat.

That of course is true, but today’s immigration is not in any way the same as immigration of the early 20th century.  The early immigrants accepted America as it was.  They wanted to be part of the American story  and dream. They wanted to protect it. Now immigrants, and many leftists, want to “fundamentally change” (Obama’s words) America.  They reject our heritage.  They proudly claim to be anti- capitalists.  They want to eliminate free expression and free association.  They are separatists and suprematists.

You're a moron.  Wanting to keep some of their heritage isn't rejecting your heritage.  And there is nothing wrong with being against whitewashing history.  Tell the true history regardless of how warm and fuzzy it makes you feel.

Free expression and free association?  Who is the one trying to force Christianity into schools?  Dictate women's healthcare decisions?  Wants to take away rights from LGBT? Supports murdering protestors?  Not immigrants or liberals.  That's Republican dictators doing that.

You're applying the actions of your white supremacists and fake Christians that infest the republican party onto others.

Strongly disagree. This is why we don’t have peace in much of the world. People are still fighting ancient battles. In the US people still act like slavery is a current event. There will always be oppression and victims if we believe it and there will be no escape.

Calm down. All of these issues have been resolved or are the subject of debate in real time. This is how it should be. It’s how free expression and democracy works.

Nope, but even if I were  so what?  You have the freedom to reject, or argue about, everything I say. Is there any room for disagreement about these issues in your liberal world?

What exactly is your case for statehood other than political power? The would have the lowest per capita GDP with a bullet. They'd be a massive strain on the Federal treasury. And they carry a ton of resentment towards the U.S. (see below).

  • 1950 Truman Assassination Attempt: On November 1, 1950, Puerto Rican nationalists Griselio Torresola and Oscar Collazo attempted to assassinate U.S. President Harry S. Truman at Blair House in Washington, D.C. Torresola and a White House police officer (Leslie Coffelt) were killed. [1, 2]

  • 1954 U.S. Capitol Shooting: On March 1, 1954, four Puerto Rican nationalists led by Lolita Lebrón entered the visitor’s gallery of the U.S. House of Representatives, unfurled a Puerto Rican flag, and fired approximately 30 shots into the chamber, wounding five U.S. congressmen. [1, 2]

  • FALN Bombing Campaign (1974–1983): The Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional (FALN), a clandestine Marxist-Leninist group advocating for Puerto Rican independence, claimed responsibility for over 130 bombings—mostly targeting financial centers, government buildings, and corporate offices in New York City, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
    • 1975 Fraunces Tavern Bombing: On January 24, 1975, a 10-pound briefcase bomb exploded at the historic Fraunces Tavern in Lower Manhattan, killing 4 people (Alejandro Berger, Frank Connor, James Gezork, and Harold Sherburne) and injuring more than 50 others. The FALN claimed responsibility. [1, 2, 3, 4]

  • Other Groups: Groups such as the Ejército Popular Boricua (the Macheteros) carried out island-based attacks against U.S. military personnel and facilities, including a 1979 bus ambush and a 1981 attack on the Muñiz Air National Guard Base. [1]

Lol.  There you go again with your obtuse criticism.  If you wanna disagree with anything I've said. Be my guest.  This is why we have this forum.

@carramrod

The US seized Puerto Rico during the Spanish American War.  There is zero reason to make it a state.  It’s all about the votes and politics.  I dont know why we didnt grant it independence  a 100 years ago.
