Good grief! You can’t admit what I said was 100 percent accurate. He absolutely downplayed it EARLY on EXACTLY like I said. If I wanted to return your insult, I’d say the person who gave up thinking here was you, but I won’t do that. 😉Good grief. Trump made theatrical activation of the hospital ships Comfort and Mercy, and a showy order under the Defense Production Act to order General Motors to produce ventilators during March and April of 2020. Maybe you think that is downplaying, but I don’t. You need to stop reading and listening to the never Trump media and actually think about what is going on.
I don't understand what the gotcha is supposed to be here, at all. The tidbits released show Fauci talking to virologists about what they knew and didn't know about a very new infectious agent. There's really no meat there.
There are no gotchas or smoking guns. This is a circle jerk.
powers that be that were scared shitless, tried a course of action that they thought was best and for whatever reason couldn't admit they were even partially wrong on anything.
This. It’s one of the things we need to learn from. It was one of Fauci’s biggest weaknesses.
The lesson Brad is centralization of power doesn't work. Even if you won't admit it. It produces poor outcomes like the Covid response. The so called experts should present information to people and let them decide for themselves. Individuals will make better decisions for themselves than little Fauci or Donald Trump.
Also, seems like a real dick move to release the guy’s private diary like that.
Remember when Paul's neighbor beat the shit out of him? I'll guarantee you there was more to that than landscaping.
I think every article described it as his private diary or journal. It does read like his notes on what happened each day. Haven’t seen anything about hot chicks in the office though - that would make it more interesting. Also, seems like a real dick move to release the guy’s private diary like that.
I could be wrong, but I read it as less of a "private diary" and more of a "daily log of work notes."

The lockdowns and mask mandates and distancing requirements were done by the states.

True, but it was driven by CDC recommendations, money printing, and the central bank pumping liquidity into the system....aka centralization. Also, states still did open up and drop mandates at different times.
Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words.
Edit: Trump also overreacted with his orders about Military emergency field hospitals. They weren’t used much either. Trump very definitely contributed to the Covid hysteria.
it started with trump allowing fauci to talk.
Putting the Mic in fauxci's hand allowed him to be exposed. Of course I will admit that this is revisionist history for me. My original thought was that it was great. He was a head of a swamp department, so in the sake of transparency, Let our "wonderful scientific leaders" speak. WELL, that may have been a better bait and switch than I could have ever expected.
Again, I originally thought it was a great idea for transparency. Now I know it was a great idea to let the fakes prove their McFakeism themselves.
But the 2020 election and ALL elections are totally secure.
Inter stage left, Bellybutton commander.
Even claimed it would be over by Easter.
It would have been if we let natural herd immunity happen, instead of following the Alhoa_fauci die hard republicans. "Fauci is an ordained government employee saving us all" (while making a $ or 2).
@joe_hoopsier OK, WTF is a "Bellybutton commander?" That's one I've never heard and I'm no spring chicken - or a young minnow . . . I'm an old Squid.

Navel Commander... C'mon man, that wasn't a hard one..

It wouldn't have been over that fast. It wasn't over that fast anywhere in the world that were relying on herd immunity. We should have focused protection on the vulnerable (elderly and less healthy) and let the rest catch it and develop immunity that way, while the virus itself evolved into a less dangerous form as the Spanish Flu virus did. This was pretty much the Great Barrington Declaration, which is one of the subjects in this thread and which I touted soon as I read about it. You didn't?
Also, what is "Alhoa_fauci?" Sounds like a mutant of some kind.

Ah, so to get it - I had to assume you don't know how to spell Naval! I should have thought of that. LOL! Actually, I was a Navy Officer, Naval Officers and enlisted includes the Jarheads. 😉

I read every one of your post, of the threads that I open.
You supported the GBD less than a week ago, right? I do not recall you mentioning that before that. Maybe you can site your own stance on this. I very well could have missed it.
