@mommyshine5220 My golf game is wildly inconsistent. In the past two years I've shot 79 to 101 and every score in between. As Forrest Gump might say, my game is like a box of chocolates, and I never know what I'm going to get. We live on the 17th hole of a private course here, but I'm a member of the club and course next to it. It's very nice. In Tucson we have an Executive Course in the complex which I can play every day for no additional charge. It has four par fours on the front and the rest are par 3s. It's been great for my short game.

Not sure when I'll be back in Indiana except for Thanksgiving, but if a business trip pops up and I can make a stop in southern Indiana I'll let you know. I like to tack a few days on the beginning or the end of those trips. Looks like the next one will either be in DC or in Switzerland. Waiting for the contractor to let me know.

The discussion about natural vs. unnatural origin had absolutely NOTHING to do with anyone "telling people what to do".

There's nothing truly shocking or damning about Fauci in his diaries that I've read in several articles today.

Seems pretty damning he's such a narcissist, no?

Anyone that supports Trump can't act like being narcissist is damning without being a hypocrite.

That's how science works.  You propose a hypothesis, test it experimentally,

tell people what to do, learn you were wrong, then backtrack and say "that's science."  We're eternally grateful for science shutting the world down with ridiculous experiments supported by a ridiculous man in fauci

better safe than sorry.  No one died wearing masks and it slowed down the spread regardless of how many idiots want to pretend otherwise because their politics tells them to.

I'm not going to criticize or defend Anthony Fauci here, but I will say that if there ever is a more deadly pandemic, we're going to lose a lot more people than we should because they're going to try and fly in the face of whatever precautions and preventative measures that are recommended.

@hurryinghoosiers kids lost years of school, contact, sports, weddings were missed, funerals, on and on to perpetuate propaganda bought hook line and sinker by those unable to think for themselves i.e. you

@hurryinghoosiers no there were precautions that good have been taken.  we knew who was at risk and who wasn't.  but because of politics and people like you blanket practices took place to the detriment of countless people who were never at risk.  am i going into things that are too difficult for you to understand?  kids in school didn't need to be in masks.  it was absurd.  among many other things. am i straying too far outside of the propaganda you allow to guide your life and decisions?

@hurryinghoosiers it was just one more fraud perpetuated by the left.  extended covid lockdowns.  closed businesses and schools.  then seamlessly into concealing the condition of biden.  his audio came out.  pretty interesting on his remarks re classified docs.  and now they pivot to socialism/communism.  they're lucky to have useful idiots like yourself allowed to vote

Because the industry literally destroyed the high trust level the Healthcare consuming (everyone) public previously held,  as we were figuratively and literally ASSAULTED by the VaxShills for exercising our right free will, of choice..

The guilty are always looking for a fall guy..some innocuous personality to blame...

Fauci is not that character....Fauci is the embodiment of satan.

@qparker the failures of the cdc and our agencies were alarming.  couple that with the false info, propaganda, news nonsense, and people won't lock down again.

Link?  I've never claimed to be "world-renowned" at anything, and I've certainly never been kicked off any farm. I did choose education over farming. Still seems like a good choice, to me, the way Trump's tariffs and forever wars are treating farmers.

Yep. And I'm not saying we should or shouldn't lock down ever again. I don't subscribe to the idea that there was some nefarious plot to get us all to lock down in place. I do think on some levels the powers that be that were scared shitless, tried a course of action that they thought was best and for whatever reason couldn't admit they were even partially wrong on anything. I do think preventative measures probably saved lives - how could staying away from people during a contagious outbreak not save lives - but there were elements of what happened that I'd hope future generations will learn from and do differently under similar circumstances.

I just pray to God that this current generation never has to face a far more serious and deadly pandemic.

I fit in just fine in corporate biotech for 15+ years.  Now, though, I can decide what to work on. Being woke or not woke really doesn't help or hurt the ability to (say) design small molecules to block the activity of the Lassa virus envelope protein and prevent its attachment to mammalian cells.
