2) whatever smearing was done of it wasn't a coordinated campaign,

Was there a coordinated campaign to smear the Great Barrington Declaration?

AI Overview

Yes, released Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) emails confirmed that top U.S. health officials organized a targeted response to discredit the Great Barrington Declaration, though mainstream public health figures defended their actions as a necessary pushback against a dangerous and scientifically flawed proposal.

Behind-the-Scenes Emails
  • The "Takedown" Request: In October 2020,Francis Collins, then-director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), emailedDr. Anthony Faucicalling the declaration's authors "fringe epidemiologists" and asking for a "quick and devastating published take down of its premises".

  • Policy Clashes: Government officials argued that the declaration's push for natural herd immunity and "focused protection" for the elderly was unscientific, unworkable, and would lead to massive loss of life.

Accusations of Suppression and Censorship
  • Media and Public Rebuke: Critics and high-ranking officials publicly labeled the proposal "total nonsense" and "dangerous," while mainstream scientists mobilized counter-manifestos like the John Snow Memorandum.

  • Digital Limitations: Authors of the declaration testified in congressional hearings and court cases that federal pressure on social media and search engines led to their work being de-ranked, down-voted, or temporarily removed online.

It’s clear some scientists and medical experts in key positions disagreed with it and said so. Personally, I thought it made great sense. Coordinated or not, they got a lot of pushback for sure. Can’t change history.

There's nothing truly shocking or damning about Fauci in his diaries that I've read in several articles today.

Seems pretty damning he's such a narcissist, no?

Correct. And it's also just as clear those scientists and medical experts in key positions coordinated. They have emails proving it and more. I provided the links.

Fine. Those that agreed with each other coordinated. Is this a shocker? 😎

@bradstevens

worse than this.  Fauci was part of the state emergency orders hysteria regarding the election all which resulted in more insecure and unreliable voting.  But most people already know this.

trump fckd up giving fauci a microphone

it became a culture virtue signal

the media bought into it  fear factor

kids suffered. Businesses suffered.  Funerals were missed. Weddings were missed. Preventative healthcare was missed   Our gov agencies were exposed as being useless.

trust was lost.

Despite the total lack of evidence that the 2020 election was not secure, you post that. Election Denialism is very strange. How do you explain that the preelection polls predicted the election results almost exactly?

Government used Covid to FUBAR everything it does but elections emerged as safe, secure, trustworthy and reliable as ever.

@co-hoosier Why wouldn't you respond to me? You have no evidence the election wasn't secure (just as the President's DoJ, hired analysts and most of his staff told him), and you don't want to answer my simple question?

@aloha-hoosier not having evidence doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It just means you don’t have it

i think Biden won for numerous reasons. But you wrote doesn’t mean much

There are mountains of circumstantial evidence.

I said the election was less reliable and less secure because of hastily enacted emergency leniency measures.   That’s pretty much undeniable.

There is no good process to detect voting misconduct after the fact.  That is why pre- voting security measures are so important.
