If you love coffee, try out Avondale Coffee Club on Elston and California. I've had coffee all over the world, and theirs is among the best. And it's near the Beer Temple and the original Kumah's Corner.

- @bradstevens oh yeah. The brothers come out to play in the summer. Biggest deterrent to crime is cold weather. Two close buddies just moved their kids into DePaul. One turned 18 just two weeks ago. He’s nervous. Not like going to Bloomington.
but if you’re able to do it right Chicago summers are very hard to beat
DePaul area is pretty safe. I lived near there for two years--best neighborhood I lived in during my time in the city.

On Milwaukee and Kinzie? I used to live right down the block. It used to be a bar called "The Drop Inn" but the burger was so popular they renamed it for the burger.
