You do realize that attacked in January 6th and dying on January 7th is murdered? You do realize that judges don’t fall for anal retentive bullshit? For Pete’s sake. Every single person who broke into the capital on January 6 are legally accomplices to the murder of police officers, but Trump has the legal right to pardon all of them and has done so. For Pete sake.
You do realize there wasn't any policies officers killed on January 6th? They did injure a sh#t ton.

The fact that Sicknick was not murdered is why no prosecutor charged as much.
It’s not anal retentive. If it was murder, they would have been charged with murder. Words have definitions.
No one was charged with murder, but everyone that was convicted of violent crimes against the Capitol Police was pardoned by President Trump. Most of MAGA cheers him for that. They’re all law and order hypocrites. You do realize that attacked in January 6th and dying on January 7th is murdered? MAGA election denier dude, Biggs, did win. Hobbs, the Dem nominee, is not a crazy socialist type by any means. That doesn’t fly here in Arizona. For the first time in my life I’ll be voting for a Democrat for Governor. Biggs nomination makes her reelection more likely.@hhlurker I guess the maga dude won? Hobbs doesn’t seem crazy. Just kind of a normal dem not the new type?
Mixed bag in AZ. https://www.npr.org/2026/07/22/nx-s1-5902198/arizona-primary-results-trump-elections-biggs
Hobbs is a she and a moderate Democrat, the only kind that can win statewide in Arizona. She’s more likely to win because the Republicans nominated the MAGA candidate, Biggs.@hhlurker I guess the maga dude won? Hobbs doesn’t seem crazy. Just kind of a normal dem not the new type?

This is comical on so many fronts
Agree. It's comical that the MAGA election deniers keep trying to win statewide races and losing them. I'm sure many join me in thinking election deniers are morons or that they think the voters are morons and that either of those things is disqualifying. So much losing.Hobbs is a she and a moderate Democrat, the only kind that can win statewide in Arizona. Republicans eye Arizona comeback in Hobbs-Biggs governor match-up: Primary takeaways
@bar-down Hobbs is a normal Democrat. A moderate because the progressive / socialist types do not win statewide elections in Arizona. I'd vote for a normal Republican over her, but we've nominated a MAGA election denying Trump ass kisser Republican instead.

Will we be able to do the same in the scenario I imagined in the other thread regarding a DSA candidate winning a primary in our district? @big-ryan you never responded on that question.

I'd have no issue voting for someone from the other isle that I think would do a good job. I don't agree with everything he does, but Massie for instance is someone I would have voted for if I was in Kentucky.
With my scenario i gave, I thought both would be dog shit, which I still think. We were gonna be screwed with either, so I chose to go with a third option. That, to me isn't supporting either party.
It's my first Arizona primary (and vote) and it's really David Schweikert vs Andy Biggs as the two possible nominees for the Republican nomination for Governor today. Both were Representatives in the US House. Andy Biggs is a full-blown MAGA 2020 election denier and voted not to certify Arizona's 2020 electors. David Schweikert voted to certify them. Biggs on several occasions claimed the 2020 election was stolen, Schweikert hasn't. These actions mean Biggs is a moron or that he thinks Republicans are morons. Either is disqualifying so he's out and Schweikart, who's been a solid conservative Republican in Congress, gets my vote. For Attorney General, both the Republican candidates are election deniers - neither get a vote. MAGA Republicans have not been able to win a significant statewide election (Governor, AG or Senate) since 2020. Maybe this will be the last cycle they try. There are about 300,000 more registered Republicans than Democrats in Arizona, but the MAGAs, other than Trump in 2024, aren't winning. Maybe they'll get a clue and stop trying.
The Representative candidate for our district is not an election denier, so he'll get my vote. He's not expected to win against the Democrat, unfortunately. The other candidates for offices I can vote for do not have a record of election denial, so I have choices to make there.
Are you voting for Hobbs or Biggs?
He is the one and only last standing true Republican, so his vote will be one button. All Dem's. Straight party ticket. NOW, if we were in the inner circle of the Dem party, we could actually have access to his actual ballot, and edit it JUST IN THE CASE that he made an honest mistake. He's as Dem as a 2 watt light bulb.
Definitely no straight ticket. Just won’t vote for MAGA candidates. Period. They must be purged completely at every level. It's my first Arizona primary (and vote) and it's really David Schweikert vs Andy Biggs as the two possible nominees for the Republican nomination for Governor today.
