Anyone seen him on this tour? We saw him at Ruoff Saturday night . I’ve probably seen him a dozen times and this was my favorite. Only the hits and he played for 2 1/2 hours, no opener. The last time I saw him I thought his voice wasn’t great, but thought both he and his band looked and sounded good. I’d heard he trained really hard for this one, although he did come out smoking a cigarette! Sold out crowd singing and dancing to every song. As a side note, tons of people in IU gear, and he let out a little Indiana were all for you and crowd started Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers. Fun night

@zeke4ahs really glad a guy like that got to see a national championship and all the success. even when you're rich it isn't an easy thing to put money into a loser.

After the tour will he vacation down at the Gulf of Mexico?

I haven't seen him live but would like to. He spoke at my brother's IU graduation in 2000, but that doesn't really count.
Sometime in the last 15-20 years he was doing 'unannounced' performances and did one on Fountain Square in Cincinnati. I stupidly decided I couldn't get of work to go. That said, my cousin went and said that a ton of people showed up. My cousin said so many people were there that the amp and microphone set up he brought weren't loud enough for everyone further back to hear

He and Lou Reed showed up at the Bluebird my freshman year. There was a rumor it was going to happen, but alas, I wasn't old enough to get in and the bird wouldn't take my fake ID anyway. If they had played at Hooligans, I'd have been in like Flint.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

That would have been an amazing show to see. My senior year of high school Lou Reed was playing in Cleveland. A group of my friends went up but my parents wouldn't let me go. I wish I would have gotten to see him/the Velvet Underground.

OH OH OH WHOLE NEW thread idea. First fake ID's (not voting IDS).
At Vincenness University, I gave blood for 6 months just to get the donor card with the DOB on it. Thus, with a sewing needle and a bic ball point pen make a new ID that even the Knox County deputies working the door allowed. It was the best of times. Mostly.

My surprise Bluebird show was Leon Russell in 1987.
