smarter people, and they certainly aren't on this thread, recently released a commercial on trump that i saw this past weekend during the world cup. It was called STICKER SHOCK. and it was brilliant. it started with all of trump's promises to lower costs then showed real people in this super slick commercial engaging in every activity of daily living and showing how the prices have not gone down and how trump has not kept his word. THAT is brilliant. and a slick commercial. not jan 6 nonsense.
The idea that election deniers should never get another vote is admirable, but most dems and reps that have put forth that narrative will never lose their seat over it.

@hhlurker what are you mumbling about now? I have never defended Trump’s J6 blanket pardons. I have said some individuals probably were entitled to one. I have posted several times about the problems with categorical pardons based upon sound legal reasoning, not based upon Trump emotionalism.

What one thinks is principled and moral is always going to be subjective.
I see nothing wrong with voting for someone based on your judgment of their character, rather than a mechanical comparison of policy positions. Until the last few elections, I regularly voted for Republicans, and I never did it because I thought, "Well, for this particular office, I really would prefer a more conservative official." I did it because in those races, I either had a very high opinion of the Republican in question, or had a very low opinion of his/her Democratic opponent.

Did you hear AOC’s speech about not leaving southern states behind in their march toward a new political and economic order? She has it backasswards. The southern states are kicking butt in economic development, income growth, education improvement, and job growth. They are leaving NY, New England and most of the rust belt in the dust.
