It makes no sense. None. What condition dictates that this class is exempt, when the previous wasn't and the next one won't be. It's just dumb. Give them a fifth year and get it over with.
If this drags on past basketball and football season I hope the players win on appeal and sue the NCAA for lost wages seeing they could have made maybe millions in NIL.
They need to clean house in the NCAA headquarters and hire people who know what they are doing. They make one bad decision after another. Their timing was terrible on the 5 year rule. They should have announced it last October or November or not announce at all till later in the year. By announcing before school and the seasons started, they were rubbing salt in the wounds of the 22 class. If they can give an extra year like they did in covid, football season was over and all the basketball players lost was the tournament, so they basically didn't miss much, but still got an extra year, in a all of a sudden ruling!. The 22 class lost playing time to the 5th year players who stayed.
Common sense should be a job requirement in the NCAA.

It would seem that the courts are going to side with the NCAA here. The phrase "the NCAA's likelihood of success on the merits" is pretty telling about what's going to happen.
Most of these TROs are being stayed now. I have a feeling Daley, Wyatt and Alexis won't suit up for IU this year

So alexis i back and i will take heat for this but given the schedule if this team does not win 23 or more games its a failure. The schedule could not be easier.

And it is just the beginning five years from now you will see many former nfl and nba players in college. The pandora's box was opened and there is no turning back now. The NCAA is now powerless and whoever has the most money will buy the best teams period.
