Mustaf is official.
Jaeden Mustaf's commitment is public...Jaeden Mustaf Commits To IU - Hoosier Huddle

jaeden mustaf has officially committed...
Is Bidunga the skinny version, 80 Lbs less, of Ballo?
Good - now just need Sherrell, Burton, Cooper, Reibe, Hall, Fru, and couple of back ups - I would hope our incoming frosh can find a few minutes, so Im not as concerned about role players
And then CDD needs to get his ass moving on coaching them up. Because he sure has hell didn't coach up his first group very well.
I read earlier in the season that you thought CDD was a good coach and you like some of the offense he runs.
What is you assessment on CDD now?
To me, this past season, IU had none of the traits of a well coached team.
They didn't get better as the year progressed.
Made the same dumb mistakes at the end as they did at the beginning.
Only Wilkerson was a player, everyone else did not get better as the year progressed.
The whole was not greater than the sum of it's parts. When was the last time we saw that at IU??
I have a friend that coached football but is an IU Bball fan.
I asked him, did you see a well coached team? His answer was No.
My take at this point is CDD is Archie 2.0.
I new version, maybe better but still has a LOT of problems.
Is he being supposed to a starter or a sub? I see he is ranked # 102 in the portal and averaged 10 points a game. Other than that I no nothing about him.
6'6" guard who seems to have improved his shooting and can shoot at a good clip. Don't mind the addition one bit!

Reasonably big bodied guard. When he gets inside he has good feel for the glass. (Surprised his 2 efficiency noted as not great.)
Not bad!
Welcome to the Hoosiers.

@ge-off Just for reference...IU is not recruiting Michael Cooper. Notre Dame is the rumored landing spot but it won't be IU (barring a major change).
Not a bad pick up, but nothing special.
@albino I probably should have expounded on that point... I was referring more towards the bigs. I think my reviews would be very mixed on how well CDD did, in his first 12 months. But to be honest, I think there would be more concerns, frustrations, etc... than good stuff, so far.
I do like some of the fundamental styles, actions, philosophies, he tried to implement with his first team. I think he's more fiery, and has more of a personality, than he's given credit for. I just don't think he recruited well enough, overall, and then he didn't get the guys he did get to play consistently well throughout the year. And then obviously how they finished is a pretty big concern too... his first offseason, through his first regular season, certainly wasn't on an upward trajectory. So he really needs to get it turned back around quickly, and that starts right now with how he builds his next roster.
Mustaf is a nice rotation wing. He has some size. He can make shots. He defends and rebounds fairly well. He played in the ACC. He has multiple years left. Lots of these things depend on how much money he's getting, and whether or not we're going to rely on him to be a main focal point guy, or not. But assuming he wasn't overly expensive, and we have a couple studs for him to support and compliment, he's a really good pick up.
