It’s nauseating watching this tournament, seeing the level of athleticism and coaching, and then remembering what Dolson has saddled us with. And now the son of a b!tch gets to wear a teflon vest because of Cignetti. His human lottery ticket. If you think there’s ever going to be any accountability, think again. That’s a pipe dream, folks…
Even with a large NIL budget, I don’t see how IU gets the players to win at an elite level. The top teams in this tournament will be hitting the portal too.

I think we realized that when he was so willing to lie about those things he pointedly said he would not, we knew he couldn’t be trusted on anything else. Eventually, he would’ve left too many turds on IU’s front door step. And Greenspan’s AD was a model of ineptitude with a bunch of tenured employees who’d been living off the IU teat for years.
Never should’ve been hired. And yes, I know he can coach, but that was never the issue. He had no ethics or integrity.
Not hiring Dusty was the worst blunder this program has made in the last twenty five years, and there have been plenty of blunders. Good God. I wonder if Dolson and Buckner feel ashamed.

I don’t think charisma has much to do with being a good basketball coach. In fact, I can’t think of too many who actually have much.

critiquing this program and its many inefficiencies etc is calling a spade a spade. People who have a problem with that are the ones likely who want trophies for everyone..that's not reality.

I don't know that you can control that. Any of these threads can and likely will lead to some sort of criticism because that's the state of the program. It's been on a downward swing for almost 30 years. And yet we all,, yes all of us still have the same expectations as we did 30 years ago. Whether some admit it or not or they hide it better... it exists in most of us. It's an emotional tie it's deeper than the wins and losses. It's part of who we are so to speak. Until the expectations are squelched I don't know that you'll see it go away. It all leads back to the teams performance or lack there of.

It’s not that difficult to add to the topic conversation or find a thread that’s relevant to what you have to say.
Look, I covered football since 2013. I get department mismanagement and have been very vocal about it, the same stuff doesn’t need to be said on every single thread. Hence the creation of this thread.
