The Indiana Hoosiers received a commitment from Naperville North High School (Ill.) quarterback Jacob Bell on Christmas Day. Bell flipped his commitment from Ball State to Indiana. The Hoosiers were his only Power Four offer, but he had nine offers from Group of Five schools.
Bell, 6’3” and 195 pounds, had a huge senior season. The 247Sports three-star prospect was named Naperville Sun and Daily Herald Player of the Year, All-State, All-Conference, All-County, and All-Area. He completed 63 percent of his passes for 3,082 yards with 38 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. He also ran for 142 yards and four touchdowns.
Bell provides depth for the Hoosiers quarterback room who lose Kurtis Rourke and Tayven Jackson for the 2025 season. IU did bring in Fernando Mendoza from the transfer portal and both Tyler Cherry and Alberto Mendoza will be redshirt freshman in 2025.
