The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to IUFB Kickoff is rolling on to day 68. Today we look at a player at one of the positions it is better not to be talked about, long snapper Mark Langston.

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 220 pounds

Hometown: Savannah, Georgia (Savannah Christian)

Previous School: Georgia Southern

Class/Position: RS Senior+ /Long Snapper

The Hoosiers will look to replace Sean Wracher, one of the country’s best long snappers, this season as he chases his NFL dreams. Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti and his staff brought in an experienced transfer at the position in Mark Langston from Georgia Southern.

Although Langston missed the 2023 season due to a torn ACL at the end of the 2022 season, he played in 22 games with the Eagles. He is healthy and participated in spring practice with the Hoosiers. He will be competing with former Army transfer Jaxon Miller for the starting position. A great long snapper will help IU’s special teams get a leg up on the opponents in the kicking game, something that a team looking to win now needs.
