Multiple outlets are reporting that the Indiana Hoosiers have dismissed football strength and conditioning coach Keith Caton. Caton was hired in 2016 to replace Mark Hill who left for Kentucky. Caton spent two seasons with Indiana football.

On Wednesday, the Indiana Hoosiers signed high school prospects as part of the Early Signing Period for the 2018 recruiting class. The class is currently ranked 41st according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Indiana head coach Tom Allen said the Hoosiers could sign three-to-four more players before the 2018 class is finished. Indiana Hoosier wide receiver Simmie Cobbs announced his plans to declare for the 2018 NFL draft on Twitter Thursday afternoon. Cobbs was Indiana's leading receiver in 2017 after missing all but one play in 2016. This past season Cobbs earned all-conference honors after catching 72 passes for 841 yards and eight touchdowns. Cobbs finishes his Hoosier career with 1,990 yards and 12 touchdowns on 139 receptions.

The Indiana Hoosiers signed 23 prospects in what was a very productive, and on paper, hugely successful, National Signing Day. IU signed five prospects from Florida, four from Illinois and Tennessee, three from Indiana, two from Georgia and five from individual states. In total, they brought in 12 defensive players, eight offensive players, two athletes and a kicker.
