Newest IU Commit Matt Bjorson Wants to Be a Part of The Culture at Indiana

The Indiana Hoosiers added their fourth commitment on Wednesday in three-star tight end Matt Bjorson. Tight end is a position of need for the Hoosiers in the 2018 class and don't be shocked if you see a couple more from that position targeted. I had a chance to talk with Bjorson about why he chose to spend the next four years at IU.

Bjorson has had IU on his radar for a while, "I have always been big into IU. My Highschool has been going down there for camp the past years every summer so that is when it started." His interest didn't change when the Hoosiers' offensive staff underwent a complete overhaul. "the new staff came in and it just built up very fast these past 3 months with my relationship with them" he said.

Bjorson had high praise for new IU offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Mike DeBord and the rest of the staff saying, "the new offensive staff had a ton of experience on it and the energy is just through the roof. Coach DeBo is going to be a amazing coach to have."

Bjorson's love affair with IU doesn't stop with the coaching staff. He wants to soak up everything IU has to offer, "the school has a great football program with a lot of culture brought in with the new coaches. As well as it is a very academically strong school and I want to be apart of both" he said.

Bjorson is heading into his senior season at Hinsdale Central H.S. and wants to spend this season "working to be the best is technique. Perfecting every part of my game."
