The Indiana Hoosiers and head coach Curt Cignetti landed their first win in the transfer portal window as former Wake Forest running back Justice Ellison chose the Hoosiers.

Ellison was third-team All-ACC in 2022 after putting up 707 yards and six touchdowns rushing. In his four seasons at Wake Forest Ellison ran for 1,909 yards and 15 touchdowns in 43 games. He also 24 passes for 163 yards and a score. Last season, Ellison ran for 548 yards with one touchdown in 11 games.

Ellison brings a veteran presence that is sorely needed in the IU backfield for the 2024 season as the Hoosiers lost Christian Turner to graduation and Trent Howland committed to Minnesota during the transfer portal window.

Ellison was listed at 5’10” and 209 pounds on the Wake Forest roster.
