The Hoosiers gained a commitment from North Carolina linebacker Jamari Farmer. The six-foot 218-pound prospect out of Mooresville, NC was offered by IU in May and made a visit earlier in June. IU was one of two Power Four offers for Farmer.

As a junior at Mooresville H.S., Farmer put up big numbers with 130 total tackles (98 solo), 26 tackles for loss and eight sacks as he was named Greater Metro Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He is unranked by the major recruiting services as of publishing.

Farmer is the 11th commitment of IU’s 2025 class which sits at 53rd nationally as of publishing after a couple de-commitments earlier this month.
