Fire that cannon again! The Indiana Hoosiers are having themselves quite the week when it comes to recruiting. Coach Kevin Wilson’s staff has received a verbal commitment from the fourth prospect in the last week and sixth overall for the month of June on Monday night when tight end Austin Dorris pledged his services to the Cream and Crimson.
Dorris, a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com is a 6’5” tight end out of Shadyside, Ohio. He is the first player to receive a scholarship to a D1 school from his high school since 1987. Dorris has great size to make an impact at the position in Wilson’s offense and creates depth at a position that has some solid talent, even with the graduation of Ted Bolser. Dorris has the size and the strength to go up and get the ball over smaller defenders, as well as the ability to make some tacklers miss.
Dorris marks the eighth commitment for the class of 2015, all of which have been rated three stars or higher by Rivals. He was receiving offers from schools like Ohio, Marshall, Toledo, Western Michigan, and Kent State.
