#68

There are now 68 days remaining until the Indiana Hoosiers kick-off the 2016 season in Miami against the Florida International Golden Panthers. Join us each day for each part of our 100-day countdown to the opener! Current IU player, Hunter Littlejohn is wearing #68.

Hunter Littlejohn (Redshirt Freshman)

-Height: 6’3”
-Weight: 295 pounds
-Hometown: Powell, OH
-Position: Offensive lineman

From Olentangy Liberty High School out of Ohio, Littlejohn was not such a little football player. As an offensive lineman, Littlejohn was first team all state, all district, and all conference honoree his senior year. He participated in the U.S. Army All-American combine as well as the Ohio North-South All-Star game. He was ranked the 34th prospect from Ohio by 247sports and the 51st offensive guard nationally. As team captain his senior year, he was able to lead the team to their first ever playoff win. With that sort of leadership, Littlejohn has the ability to make a positive impact on this Hoosier team.

Hunter Littlejohn may not have seen any playing action this past season due to being redshirted, but this next season could be his shot. However, the competition will be heavy. There will be several redshirted freshmen fighting for offensive line positions including DaVondre Love, Simon Stepaniak, Jack Trainor, and Nick Ramacca. All of these players on top of returning players Dan Feeney, Brandon Knight, Dimitric Camiel, Wes Martin, Jacob Bailey, and others create a deep offensive line for Indiana this season. It can be expected that there will be some moves and changes as well as additions, as these redshirted freshmen begin to work their way to the top to earn playing time. As far as incoming players, Grayson Stover is the most likely to pose a threat to the current offensive line, but due to this depth I expect he’ll be redshirted. Grayson Stover appeared in our countdown just one week ago, day 75, so take a peak at that article here.
